This post is part of our Homeopathy Awareness Week series.

Many people now turn to Homeopathic remedies to treat simple injuries at home – such as grazes and cuts, muscle strain after exercise or bruising after falls.  As part of the Homeopathy Awareness Week series we are sharing some of the most common Homeopathic remedies you can use for your family.  As always, we advise you to seek medical help if your injury is serious.

This post is part of our Homeopathy Awareness Week series.

Stomach ache is a common symptom, especially if we experience constipation, have over-indulged on rich food or have gastric ‘flu. Babies and small children commonly complain of tummy upsets, especially when teething, travelling in a car or after an upset.

Homeopathic remedies can alleviate the symptoms of these common, simple causes of abdominal pain.  However, if symptoms persist seek professional medical advice.

I wonder how many of you, as I did, wore braces as a child. As a teenager my teeth were very overcrowded and it was decided that I needed four molars removed. The reasoning behind this was that I had a small, narrow jaw, big teeth (thanks Mum and Dad) and not enough room for the other critters waiting to erupt. Wisdom teeth were mentioned. Now these I liked the sound of. These were very mysterious and obviously important, as their name implied, and I looked forward to their arrival as one might the arriv...

In this article I want to briefly discuss mental and emotional health and where I see Homeopathy can support patients.  Anxiety, depression and other nervous disorders are very common health problems, affecting over 150 million people worldwide.  Treatment strategies are dependent on the severity of the problem and may involve anti-depressants, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychotherapy or counselling.  Complementary therapies such as Homeopathy, are also frequently sought by people with ment...

‘Homeopathy has the answer’

These are the words of Dr. Tim Robinson, one of 400 GP’s who integrate Homeopathy into their General Practice, seeing over 200,000 NHS patients a year.  Over 40,000 patients are treated in NHS Homeopathic Hospitals in the UK, offering a cheap and holistic treatment for conditions where, according to Dr. Robinson ‘conventional medicine has failed’.

I was a Registered Nurse for 20 years, a lot of that time working in the NHS. I was proud to work as part of a dedicated team of prof...

Hay fever is expected to rise dramatically in the next two weeks as levels of Birch pollen increase, according to pollen expert, Dr Jean Emberlin, Director of Allergy UK. A combination of warm, sunny days, light winds and air pollution are increasing the likelihood of sudden hay fever attacks this year. Dr Emberlin states the incidence of hay fever has doubled over the last 30 years and suggests that the reasons for this include more severe pollen seasons due to climate change and the hygiene hypothesis....

Here we are again in autumn. There, I’ve said it. I turn into a bit of an ostrich at this time of year, trying hard not turn the pages of my diary and admit that summer has indeed ended. Like most people, I enjoy the warm, relaxing summer days; getting out into nature, breathing fresh air and soaking up the warm rays of the sun. Here in the UK, autumn came suddenly and the wind and horizontal rain are enough to put even the bravest of us off a leisurely stroll. More likely, it’s head down, dash for car, fa...
